The Blue lotus flower is an ethnobotanical taonga that carries ancient plant wisdom that has been revered through the centuries, across continents, and throughout ancient mythological texts/creation stories. A water lily known as the “Flower of Enlightenment” dating back to the ancient Egyptian culture, used for ceremonies and rituals. Queen Cleopatra was said to soak these flowers in red wine for an added state of euphoria, to open the third eye. Our tinctures are all made containing distillates (alcohol) made by us in our copper still/alembic. The plant matter is macerated for 6-10 weeks. Made in small batches and all organic. ABV % is about 40% alcohol. The addition of the honey balances out the alcohol perfectly to give a sweeter drop, that can be taken directly as well as diluted into pure drinking water or your favourite beverage.
